Trust person
Since 2022, the BIL has appointed a trust person: Evianne Brouwers. She can be contacted at the following email address: vertrouwenspersoon@bilboard.nl. The confidential advisor is independent of the board. A confidential advisor can do the following:
• Be the first point of contact for members who have experienced something unpleasant (listen).
• Determine whether a solution in an informal setting is possible (mediate).
• Inform the member about other solutions such as filing a complaint / addressing it with the board.
• Guide the member if they want to bring the matter to the attention of the board, institution, or faculty.
• Refer to other counseling services such as a psychologist or study advisor.
• Register cases of unwanted behavior.
• Advise the board on how to prevent inappropriate behavior.
The confidential advisor has a separate email that the board does not have access to. If you have any further questions, you can ask the board or Evianne herself!
